Simona Toma was born in Lecce in 1976. She works in cinema and TV and has collaborated with directors like Ferzan Özpetek and Cristina Comencini, and actors like Diego Abatantuono, Stefania Sandrelli, Sophie Marceau, Monica Bellucci, Riccardo Scamarcio and Virna Lisi. She has worked in the theatre with Filippo Timi. She collaborates with Scuola Holden. She has written children’s books, young adult fiction and two novels (Mi chiamano Ada and Da domani mi alzo presto, both published by Sperling & Kupfer). Her works have been translated in Germany and Brazil.
