Mirko Zilahy
Mirko Zilahy was born in 1974 in Rome. He made his debut with the bestseller È così che si uccide (Longanesi, 2016), followed by La forma del buio and Così crudele è la fine, which complete the Trilogia degli spettri (optioned for television and translated in many countries). With HarperCollins Italy he published the novel Nostra signora delle nuvole (2023). His latest book is La stanza delle ombre, published by Mondadori in 2025. He is an editor and translator. In addition to The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, he has translated authors such as Bram Stoker, Roger Boylan, Peter Murphy, T. R. Richmond, John Boyne, John McGahern, Michael Dahlie and Dennis Lehane. He writes for “la Lettura” by “Corriere della Sera”. He has taught Italian Language and Literature at Trinity College, Dublin, and he is an English Literature fellow at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia.
