Fabio Genovesi

Fabio Genovesi was born and lives in Forte dei Marmi. He has published several acclaimed novels with Mondadori, including: Esche vive (2011), Chi manda le onde (2015, winner of the Premio Strega Giovani and finalist for the Premio Strega), Il mare dove non si tocca (2017, Premio Viareggio), Cadrò, sognando di volare (2020), Oro puro (2023, winner of the Premio MarEtica and the Premio La città dei lettori), and Mie magnifiche maestre (2025). In 2021, he released Il calamaro gigante with Feltrinelli, later adapted into a stage play of the same name, co-written with Angela Finocchiaro. He is a regular contributor to “Corriere della Sera” and “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, and serves as the cultural commentator for RAI’s live coverage of the Giro d’Italia.
