Elisa Fuksas

Born in Rome in 1981, Elisa Fuksas is a director and a writer. She published La figlia di (Rizzoli), Michele, Anna e la termodinamica (Elliot) and Ama e fai quello che vuoi (Marsilio). She filmed several documentaries (L’Italia del nostro scontento, Black Mirror. A journey with Mat Collishaw, ALBE) and Nina, a full-length film featuring Luca Marinelli and Diane Fleri. In 2019, for Netflix, she directed The App, an adaptation of the opera Noi, due, quattro, for which she also wrote the libretto and directed the homonymous play at Teatro del Maggio Fiorentino. Her documentary iSola (2020) was presented at the XVII edition of the Giornate degli Autori Film Festival and has been selected among the Finalists at Nastri d’Argento 2021. Her most recent novel is Non fiori ma opere di bene (Marsilio, 2022), optioned for cinema.
