Angela Bubba
Angela Bubba was born in 1989 in Catanzaro. She is a writer, journalist, and researcher who collaborates with newspapers and magazines and serves as the artistic director of Diaspéiro-Festival Migrante in Mesoraca, her hometown. Her debut novel, La casa (Elliot, 2009), was a finalist for the Premio Strega, Premio Flaiano, Premio John Fante, and Premio Berto. She later published MaliNati (2012), Via degli Angeli (2016), co-written with Giorgio Ghiotti, and Preghiera d’acciaio (2017), all with Bompiani. Also active in academic research, she won the Premio Elsa Morante per la critica in 2017 with her first monograph, Elsa Morante madre e fanciullo (Carabba, 2016). Her latest novel, Elsa (Ponte alle Grazie, 2022), won the Premio Flaiano-Narrativa Under 35 and the Premio Zocca Giovani-Marco Santagata.
