Maurizio Torchio
Maurizio Torchio was born in Turin in 1970. He made the documentary Votate agli stipendi Fiat (2003) and published a collection of short stories, Tecnologie affettive (Sironi). He published three novels with Einaudi: Piccoli animali, Cattivi and L’invulnerabile altrove. Cattivi won the Premio Lo Straniero, the Premio Dessì, the Premio Padula, the Premio Pisa and the Premio Moncalieri. It has also been translated into English, French and German. His latest novel is La peggior specie (Sellerio, 2026). He lives in Milan.
