Francesco Casolo

Francesco Casolo is a writer, screenwriter, and lecturer. He wrote, together with the Afghan refugee Alì Ehsani, the long-sellers: Stanotte guardiamo le stelle (2016, translated into French by Belfond) and I ragazzi hanno grandi sogni (2018), both published by Feltrinelli. Inspired by the story of Stanotte guardiamo le stelle, he wrote the screenplay of the award-winning short film Baradar, finalist for the David di Donatello Awards. In 2022 he published La salita dei giganti (Feltrinelli). Since 2006 he has been a professor of Film History at the European Institute of Design (IED).
