Frankie hi-nrg mc

Frankie hi-nrg mc (Francesco Di Gesù) was born in Turin in 1969.
He is a rapper, author, composer, journalist, street photographer, video-maker. He has written some of the most seminal rap tunes in the history of Italian music, Fight da faida (IRMA record, 1992) was selected by Rolling
Stone as “Best Rap Song in the History of Italian Music”.
He has released six albums so far, “Essere umani” is his last one, and has written and performed songs for Fiorella Mannoia, Raf, Mimmo Locasciulli as well as supporting live international musicians such as David Bowie, Beastie Boys and Run DMC.
He collaborated with Vittorio Gassman, Franca Valeri, Arnoldo Foà and Paola Cortellesi on several theater plays and projects.
In 2013 he presented the “Street art” program on SkyArte HD and in 2017 he conducted one season of the radio program “Back2Back” on Radio2.
In 2019 he published his first book, Faccio la mia cosa, with Mondadori.
