Nanni Balestrini

Poet, writer and artist, Nanni Balestrini was born in Milan in 1935. He lived between Rome and Paris.
He was one of the founders of the “Novissimi” and “Gruppo 63” literary groups.
He has published numerous collections of poems, essays and novels, including Caosmogonia (2010), Tristano (2009), Sandokan (2009), Vogliamo tutto and Gli Invisibili (Oscar Mondadori).
In 2017, with Tano D'Amico, he published the photography book Ci abbiamo provato, parole e immagini del Settantasette (Bompiani).
Translations of his books are sold in the leading European countries and in the United States.
His art works have been displayed at the MACRO in Rome, at documenta in Kassel and at the Venice Biennale.
In July 2019, his new book, La violenza illustrata 2, was published by Bollati Boringhieri.
